About Emanuel
Emanuel is by far the most ministerially-experienced member of our team and we could not be more excited that he has joined our ministry. He is a proud husband to his wife, Jan, a father of 3, and grandfather to 2. Through his years of ministry, he is widely known for his loving demeaner, sense of humor, and expertise in helping others navigate hard times and grief.

Earned a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Education from FBC
Was ordained as a Licensed Ordained Minister through Oak Griner Baptist Church of Ocala, Florida.
Over these 33 years, the Lord led Emanuel to different places of ministry. He served in Ocala, Florida at Northside Baptist Church and Oak Griner Baptist Church, as Pastor of Worship/Youth and Pastor of Worship/Children/Senior Adults. Then served in the tri-county area at First Baptist Church of Trenton, Hardeetown Baptist Church, and Pine Grove Baptist Church. At these locations he pastored over Worship, Children, Senior Adults, Education, and Pastoral Administration.
Earned his Master of Divinity from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA.
Became a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain (BCC) through Clinical Pastoral Education International in Orange Park, FL.
In 2019 he transitioned from pastoring in churches, to pastoring in hospitals and medical facilities. He has served as Chaplain at Haven Hospice of Alachua City, North Florida Regional Medical Center, and HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, in Gainesville Florida. As well as Orlando Health at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida.
Started at New Ways as a Clinical Pastoral Counseling (CPC) Intern. Emanuel is currently studying under Mariam Newton's guidance in receiving his certification through NCCA as a CPC.
